Michael Anderson Thompson, 56 of 3016 Dunkard Church Road Lindside, WV passed away Tuesday September 24, 2013 at Roanoke Memorial Hospital in Roanoke, VA. Born November 10, 1956 in Winston-Salem, NC he was a son of the late Barbara Thompson.

Mr. Thompson is survived by his two daughters Kristy Thompson and husband Austin Handy of Lindside, WV and Misty Baker and husband Adam of Winston-Salem, NC, two brothers Mark Gamble of Winston-Salem, NC and Matt Gamble and wife Jeanette of Clemmons, NC. four grandchildren Austin & Jacob Thompson of Lindside, WV and Caila and Adam Baker Jr. of Winston-Salem, NC. his ex wife and longtime friend Frances Cockerham of Walkertown, NC.

Mr. Thompson was cremated and a Memorial Gathering will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday September 27, 2013 at Wickline Funeral Home in Lindside. His remains will be buried in North Carolina.
