Obituary for John Stanford Bradley
John Stanford Bradley, 97 of Lindside, WV passed away Thursday April 24, 2014 at Giles Community Hospital. Born September 7, 1916 he was a son of the late John Shackaford and Georgianna Little Bradley.
Mr. Bradley known as Stanford had worked for over 60 years at the Celanese Corporation In Narrows, VA as an Electrician. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife Audrey Maxine Riffe Bradley, one brother Eugene Bradley and two sisters Eva Booth and Bonnie Booth. He was a member of the Spruce Run Church of the Brethren in Lindside.
Mr. Bradley is survived by his second wife Claris Phillips Bradley of Ballard, WV his only child son Randy and wife Catherine Bradley of Lindside, WV two grandchildren Scottie and wife Cheryl Bradley of Louisville, KY and Kim and husband Ralph Lane of Christiansburg, VA, 5 great-grandchildren Austin, Jonathan, Kevin Bradley of Louisville, KY and Luke and Lauren Lane of Christiansburg, VA.
Funeral services will be held Monday April 28, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Wickline Funeral Home in Lindside, WV with Pastor Rodger Boothe and Pastor Dewey Broyles officiating. Burial will follow at Bradley Cemetery in Lindside. Tommy Ball, Sam Shires, Steve Booth, Gene McGhee, Scottie Bradley and Ralph Lane will serve as pallbearers.
Friends may call Sunday April 27, 2014 from 6PM till 8PM at the funeral home.
