Tyler S. "Fig" Newton, 17 of Lindside, WV passed away Monday April10, 2017 from injuries following a vehicle accident. Born March 20, 2000 in Fredericksburg, VA to Kelly Sevy of Lindside and Jay Newton of Fredericksburg, VA and his step father Anthony Sevy of Lindside. Tyler was a junior at James Monroe High School, a member of the Pine Grove Missionary Baptist Church, an avid Dallas Cowboy fan and he attended 4-H camp every summer.
In addition to his parents he is survived by brother Ashton Sevy, sister Makayla Newton both of the home, half-sister Ashley Mullins of Farmville, VA. Grandparents Larry and wife Geraldine Green of Lindside, Burl and wife Sharon Newton of Colonial Heights, VA and Judy Armes of Blackstone, VA. Aunts & Uncles, Darren and wife Terrie of Fredericksburg, VA, Chris and wife Renee Hodges of Blackstone, VA and Kay Knight of Jacksonsville, FL. a special niece Isabella Woodard of Lindside.
Funeral services will be Friday April 14, 2017 at 3:00PM at Pine Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Lindside with Pastor Jerry Martin officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Grove Memorial Gardens in Lindside, family will serve as pallbearers. Family will receive friends from 12:00 PM (Noon) to time of service at the church.
