Obituary for Robert L. "Bob" Guy
Robert Lynn "Bob" Guy 77 of Lindside, WV (Cooks Run Road) passed away Monday October 30, 2017 at Giles Community Hospital following a long illness. Born May 10, 1940 in Catlett, VA he was a son of the late Elbert Lewis and Margarett Breeden Guy. Bob was a 20 year veteran of the US Navy, and a member of the Dropping Lick United Methodist Church. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his only daughter Suzi Guy Raines.
Bob is survived by his wife of 54 years Evelyn Bradley Guy of the home, 2 sons Bert Guy of Eudora, KS and Mike Guy and wife Trish of Lindside, WV, a half brother Lewis Robert "Ham" Guy of Remington, VA, two sisters Lois Hayslett of Belgrade, Maine and Barbara Morelock of Dayton, OH, a half sister Judy Meadows of Remington, VA., son-in-law James "Seven" Raines. and 5 grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Services will be held Saturday November 4, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Wickline Funeral Home in Lindside with Rev. Robert Baer Jr., Pastor Eugene Fullen and Pastor Bob Mann officiating. Burial will follow at Wickline Cemetery at Zenith, WV with Military Graveside Rites. In lieu of flowers please make donations in Bob's Memory to The Alzheimer's Association at 225 N. Michigan Ave. Fl. 17 Chicago, IL 60601.
