Boyd S. Church 91 of Lindside, WV passed away Saturday March 10, 2018 at Princeton Community Hospital.
Born September 21, 1926 on Rockhouse Mountain in Kimball, WV he was a son of the late William I. and Rebecca Workman Church. Mr. Church is the last of 6 children being preceded in death by 2 Brothers and 3 Sisters. Mr. Church was also preceded by his wife Dorothy Church and one grandson Ben Carman III. He was a Veteran of the US Army serving during World War II. Mr. Church was employed for 28 years at US Reduction in Toledo,OH, after retirement he spent much of his time with family and enjoyed hunting, woodworking and gardening. He had such a expertice as a handyman that his services were solicited by many family members, neighbors and friends.
He is survived by one son Boyd Church Jr.of Lindside, three daughters Shirley Carman and husband Ben of Lindside, Carolyn Church of Toledo, OH, Debra Carr and husband Robert of Henderson, NV. 3 grandchildren Rebecca Church of Toledo, OH, Robert Carr IV and Dr. April Carr both of Las Vegas, NV, 2 great-grandsons Keith and Logan Carman both of MT, 3 great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Friday March 16, 2018 at 1:00 PM at Wickline Funeral Home with Pastor Jerry Martin officiating. Burial with Military Graveside Rites will follow at Mt. View Cemetery in Wikel, WV. Family will serve as pallbearers. A reception at 3PM will be held at Hometown Restaurant in Peterstown, WV.
Family will receive friends on Thursday March 15, 2018 from 6pm till 8pm at Wickline Funeral Home.
