Obituary for Bobby Crawford

Bobby Joe "BJ" Crawford, 79 of Lindside passed away Thursday May 17, 2018 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Born July 5, 1938 in Lindside he was the son of the late Walter and Lily Broyles Crawford and the last surviving member of his family. Bobby was a truck driver for 47 years and owning J&B Trucking for 26 years hauling coal, later he drove for various companies hauling asphalt, gravel and timber. Bobby was well known for his love of gardening, flowers and raising hogs. He will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him and will never be forgotten. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his two brothers Roscoe and Roy Crawford, four sisters Ethel Coulter, Thelma Wickline, Leotta Beasley and Betty Senter, and son in law Mitchell Price.
Bobby is survived by his loving wife of 52 years Joyce Biggs Crawford of the home, one son Joe Crawford of Lindside, two daughters Karen Hammonds with Tim Gore of Ballard (Paul & Mason) and Loretta Price with Jason Yanego of Rivesville, WV (Devon, Gabrielle, Jacob, Skylar and special lil man Laken John). Patricia Michael and Ashley Clowers his adopted daughters and special neighbor Jim Pyne.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday May 21, 2018 at Orchard Christian Center with Pastor Rusty Hughes officiating with Bill Goodwin assisting. Burial will follow at Mt. View Cemetery in Wikel. David Christian, JD Jackson, CA Comer, Jason Clowers, Jim Pyne and Paul Gore will serve as pallbearers with William Broyles, Billy Joe Jackson, James Wickline and Quinton Coulter honorary pallbearers.
